Acadia National Park, Maine, USA

In early October, I was brave enough to join a camping trip to Maine, USA. Unfortunately, soon after leaving Québec City the rental car had a flat tire, which cost us two hours. We arrived after sunset at the campground. It was raining most of the time on our first hiking day and our three seasons sleeping bags couldn’t really keep us warm at night.

Nevertheless, we saw beautiful landscapes at the coast of the Atlantic Ocean. I can imagine how beautiful the view from Cadillac Mountain must be on a sunny day in October.

After the hike, we visited Sand Beach and the Thunder Hole. At the beach, one of us even dared to take a swim in the Ocean, which he apparently regretted after a few seconds.

Somehow, we managed to climb the mountain down again, even though it included some slipping and sliding.

The next day, the weather was way better and we could really enjoy the indian summer.
