With a university class we visited the fortifications of Québec which were build to protect Québec during the colonial period. The rich military history of Québec can be discovered here. Today it is the only remaining fortified city north of Mexico, a distinction that has led to its status as a UNESCO World Heritage City.
Four of the gates remain until today and are still used as entrance routes of the old town.
